2022 fills us with excitement, hope and motivation to achieve our New Year’s resolutions, but we often find ourselves not going through with these goals by March, or earlier, as we don’t think through our goals, we expect to meet the results 100% without even specifying how, when, how much or why.
These four tips will help you have a year full of accomplished resolutions:
1. Give yourself time to think about what you want to achieve in 2022, this can take up to two hours and that’s okay! It’s important you can consciously decide what is what you really want.
2. Once you’ve listed your goals, give each one a priority; It is not necessary that you complete them all in the same time, and it’s very likely that one will take longer than another. Just have clear which one to start off with.
3. It’s time to be specific with your goals, for example, if you want to lose weight, ask yourself the following questions:
a) Why do I want to lose weight?
b) How many pounds do I want to lose?
c) When do I want to reach my goal weight?
d) What do I need to achieve it? (health food, exercise, change habits, support from a specialist and friends)
4. Most importantly, write down your progress, this will help you see how you started and where you are, and this is the best motivation to keep going!
